SHINE FROM THE VALLEY and MAMA'S SONG SOON TO BE RELEASED
I'm working on getting "Shine From The Valley" and "Mama's Song" available to you online by Folk Fest weekend or soon after. I'll keep you posted.
I wrote "Shine" inspired by Tucson's response to the events of January 8. The production is a great big shiny labor of Love featuring Gary Mackender and Sabra Faulk on rhythm, Louis Levinson on steel, Duncan Stitt on organ, Sabra on lead vocals, Jo Wilkinson, Nod Nottingham and Cantrell Maryott-Driver on primary background vocals, and a choir made up of To Ree Nee Wolf, Catherine Zavala, Nancy Bright, Don Simpson, Jeff Simpson, Robyn Landis, Cantrell, and myself, plus I'm playing guitars, composing, arranging, producing, herding, mixing, mixing, and mixing. I am so excited for you to hear this - everyone totally shines on it. Recorded by Duncan, Don Simpson, and myself.
RHYTHM AND ROOTS SHOW MAY 5
Jaese Lecuyer, Cantrell and I will be doing sets of our original tunes, backed up by Sabra Faulk and Gary Mackender, at Rhythm and Roots's new venue in the Plaza Palomino, Thursday, May 5, at 7:30pm. $10. http://www.rhythmandroots.org/ for details and tickets.
